The Owner/Director of Stepping Stone Dance Studio - SSDS, began dancing at the age of 4 at Knecht Dance Academy. She has participated in the sport of dance and cheerleading for over 40 years. She studied all styles of dance; Acrobatics, Ballet, Choreography, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Pointe, Stretch, Tap, & Cheer Dance. Dana was a student and dance instructor under Carol Wilson (Wagner) for 8 years. She was one of the founding members of the Avallon Dance Company and participated in numerous theatrical productions, half time shows, national dance competitions, and other various professional venues. She attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre Summer program for 3 years. Dana attended Kent State University where she received her Dance Masters teaching certifications in tap, jazz, & ballet. Dana has received choreography and teaching awards at both regional and national levels. Some of her students have gone on to dance/cheer professionally. Some have gone onto prestigious college dance programs. Dana instructs all age levels, from 3 to adult, and is very encouraging for all her students to do their best, have fun, and strive for success. Dana's teaching philosophy.. Always to stay grounded with the love of dance, dedication of teaching dance and the passion to share dance in all its wonders with my students; and to create a positive learning environment within the studio. Dana was also prior military service (Army) for four years. Presently, from 6 am to 3 pm- Monday thru Friday, Dana is the Operations Manager for a Large National Plastic Distribution Company, who has a wide range of business certifications and awards. Dana is a proud mother of two sons, Derrick - 25 years and Dustin - 22 years. All the men in her life are part of the studio in some fashion. Dana is excited to share her experience, knowledge, and her passion for dance and cheerdance with all the students and their families. She is excited to be a part of your children's future and watch them grow. Dana is currently a member of the National Dance Association (NDA), the InArc Dance Project (IDP) & New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA). Dana would like to share one piece of advice with her students...Remember your dreams have no limits. Never waste time wishing you would have done something, with hard work and dedication everything is attainable whether they are big or small goals. Always follow your dreams, because dreams really do come true...I am proof of that....Dana was also was nominated "Teacher in the Spotlight" in the August 2014 issue of Dance Life Magazine.... an amazing honor.

Nikki Cordero

Nikki Cordero began dancing at the age of 3 under Knecht Dance Academy. She has been trained in Ballet, tap, modern, lyrical, jazz, acrobatics, pointe, and hip-hop. She passionately competed in dance for 6 years, including regional and national competitions. She performed in many different shows for Eclipse Dance Company and graduated from Wendys Dance Center. Nikki attends Bucks County Community College and is majoring in Business Administration. In 2009, Nikki taught ballet, tap, and a ballet/tap combo at a studio called Cherubini?s Arts Academy in Burlington, NJ. She also taught modern, ballet, and hip-hop at Carol Wilsons Studio One for two years. Nikki is also a licensed ZUMBA Dance Fitness Instructor. She is certified in ZUMBA fitness, Zumbatomic (ZUMBA for children), and ZUMBA Toning. She attended ZUMBA fitness instructor classes and dance workshops at the 2011 ZUMBA Fitness Convention in Orlando, Florida. She currently teaches at two different locations and will now be holding classes at Stepping Stone Dance Studio. For 3 years, Nikki worked for Sesame Place Theme Park in the Entertainment department. She was a dancer in the theme park’s shows and parades and worked well with many children. Currently, she is employed under all Neshaminy elementary school’s after school program called Neshaminy Kids Club. Nikki is the dance instructor for the program. She has completed a hip-hop program, jazz program, and Zumbatomic for the children.

Chelsea began dancing at the age of 4 under Joyce Lehman at Turning Pointe Performing Arts Academy and then moved onto Carol Wilson Studio One at the age of 8 under Carol Wilson, Andrea Slavin, Kim McManamon, Rachel Grisi, and Michelle Galione. She had the opportunity to participate in the Rockette Experience at the age of 10 in NYC at the Radio City Music Hall. Once Chelsea was of age she joined the Avalon Dance Company. During her time at CWS1 she performed in numerous productions including the Nutcracker, Twas the Night Before Christmas, The Little Match girl in which she held the title role, Enchanted Toy Shoppe in which she held the role as the Ballerina Doll, and in Winterbrook: The Legend of Princess Harmony where she also held the lead role. During her time with the Avalon Dance Co. she was given the opportunity to choreograph for her fellow peers and at the young age of 13 she had won best choreography by studio audience vote. Chelsea also studied under Rachel Grisi and The Nest where she performed at BCCC in the Nest's production of The Four Seasons and the Nutcracker where she held lead role of Dew Drop Fairy. After graduating from BCTHS; Chelsea joined the InArc Dance Project as one of their youngest members. During Chelsea's years of dance she studied Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, and Stretch. Chelsea taught teen ballet 1 year at Just To Dance and she also taught Kinder, Ballet, Tap, and Acro for Dance Strong Dance Academy. Chelsea works full time as a Dental Assistant at Steven Dannin DDS in Holland, PA.

Jasmyne began dancing at the age of 3, starting at Dance Dimensions of Warminster PA and Turning Pointe Performing Arts Academy. She then moved onto Carol Wilson Studio One at the age of 8 where she studied various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics/Tumbling, and Stretch. During her high school years, Jasmyne was captain of the Pennsbury High School’s Dance Team for 2 years and worked as an E3 Dancer at Sesame Place, from ages 16 to 21, where she performed in character shows and the street parade during the summer, winter, and fall seasons. After graduating from Pennsbury High School in 2012, she continued her dance career and studied dance at DeSales University. During her undergraduate career at DeSales, she studied under Timothy Cowart, Angela Sigley Grossman, Julia Mayo, Tara Madsen Robbins, Rebecca Moyer, and Trinette Singleton. She studied Ballet and Modern Technique, Pointe Technique and Partnering, Tap, Hip Hop, Improvisation, Teaching Methods, Composition-Choreography, Kinesiology, Laban Movement, Dance History, and Dance on Camera, as well as, other various styles of dance during master classes with a variety of professional dancers/choreographers such as Jessica Chen/J Chen Project, BodyVox, Janet Peck, Christopher K. Morgan, and many more artists. While attending DeSales, she performed in numerous pieces in the Emerging Choreographers Concert, DeSales University Dance Ensemble, and Informal Concerts, along with choreographing two pieces, "Euphoria" for the 2014 Fall Informal Concert and "Circuits" for the 2016 Spring Informal Concert. She was also a member of the DeSales University’s Touring Company and DeSales University’s Dance Team. Jasmyne also attended and performed at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) in 2015 and 2016. In addition to her studies, she continued teaching dance at local studios in the Center Valley area where she taught Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Tumbling, and Choreography. Jasmyne graduated from DeSales in 2016 with a BA in Dance and a minor in Psychology. After graduation, she accepted a full-time job as a drug and alcohol case manager. In addition to case management and teaching, Jasmyne has performed in various shows throughout her post grad career including Downtown Dances in Lancaster PA, Koresh Artist Showcase, Dance 333, and Collab: Theme and Variation. Her most recent performance was in July 2018 on the Anthem of the Seas Cruise line. Jasmyne is currently attending Widener University for her master’s in social work and plans to graduate in May 2020 with her MSW and Trauma Certification. She hopes to become a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor, with a focus in Substance Abuse Treatment and Trauma Therapy. Jasmyne is presently working on her Acrobatic/Tumbling certification.
Melanie Santiago

Melanie began dancing under the instruction of Carol Wilson in 2002 at Carol Wilson Studio One and continued dancing with Stepping Stone Dance Studio beginning in 2011. During her school years she studied jazz, modern, lyrical, ballet, stretch, and acro. From 2007-2011, Melanie participated in Bristol Riverside Theatre’s Artrageous summer program, which taught skills in script writing, acting, singing, and dance and provided the opportunity to participate in local theatre performances. Melanie graduated from Arcadia University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Italian studies. During college, she was a member of Arcadia's Knight Club, dancing in a recital each semester and choreographing two pieces of her own. She has also volunteered for the Puerto Rican Cultural Association Bucks County, teaching children traditional folkloric dance. In addition to assistant teaching at Stepping Stone, Melanie works in Philadelphia as a case manager for families of children with autism spectrum disorder.
Michelle McGurl

Michelle started dancing when she was 4 years old. She has been trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, and Irish dancing. She studied for 15 years at the Just to Dance Studio under Dana Pirollo. Michelle graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Leisure and Sport Studies. During her time at Kutztown she was President and Vice President of the Black Flame Dance Team. After college Michelle worked at the Lower Bucks Family YMCA in Fairless Hills where she created a dance program there teaching ballet, tap and hip-hop programs. Currently Michelle is in school studying for a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Michelle enjoys taking master classes and has taken classes with choreographers such as Will “Willdabeast” Adams, Nicole Kirkland, and Phil Wright. In August of last year Michelle received her Zumba instructor license and is a Zumba substitute teacher and assistant at SSDS.
Sally Bethmann

SSDS families please join me in welcoming Sally Graham Bethmann to our amazing SSDS family and staff. Sally is a local to Bucks County, PA. She is a PA certified educator currently working as a Music and Fitness teacher at Valley Christian School and Trevose Day School. When she is not in the classroom she can be found delivering early childhood music classes online through "Singalong With Sally". Additionally, she teaches regular vocal lessons and coaches students for performances and auditions in the area.
Her performance experience began at age 4 when she walked into her first ballet class. Now she can be found onstage at several local theaters including The Kelsey Theatre, The Newtown Theatre, The Yardley Community Center, etc. Additionally, she sings regularly at a local chruch and takes dance classes in the area. She is so excited to join the Stepping Stone family and bring her love for musical theatre, singing, and dance to tomorrow's brightest stars!

Miss Sam has been dancing her whole life. She started at the age of four at Carol Willson Studio One and continued her dancing career at Stepping Stone Dance Studio. Through her many years at SSDS she studied a vast array of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Broadway Jazz, Modern, Hiphop, Stretch, Lyrical & Acrobatics, taking a special interest in Jazz and Tap. Sam was also a member of the SSDS Performance Dance Team for Nine Years. Performances include numerous sports events; Sixers & Harlem Globetrotters Games, local community parades, fundraisers, Studio Spring Productions, Disney performance, Holiday Shows, and many more. Her most notable role was Alice, in “Alice in Winter Wonderland.” Sam started student assisting at the age of 12 at SSDS. Sam recently graduated from Harry S. Truman High School with honors and is currently a student at Arcadia University majoring in early education and special education. Sam is very excited to be back with her SSDS family and looks forward to sharing her gift and love of dance with the next generation of dancers.
Cassidy Kaess

Miss Cassidy started dance at Stepping Stone Dance Studio at the age of 12 years old. She has studied Ballet, Pointe, Hiphop, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Broadway Jazz, and Stretch. Cassidy was also a member of the SSDS Performance Dance Team for the last 3 years. Performances include numerous sports events; Sixers & Harlem Globetrotters Games, local community parades, fundraisers, Studio Spring Productions, Disney performance, Holiday Shows, and many more. Her most outstanding role was ”Gretel”, in Hansel & Gretel’s Winter Adventure. Cassidy started student assisting at the age of 13 at SSDS. She recently graduated from Harry S. Truman High School with honors and is currently a student at Penn State University studying in Hospitality Management. Cassidy has always felt that the studio was her second home, and she cannot wait to share her passion of dance with our SSDS Dance family.
